2014 Hind Hornet — May-10

We had a nice day of sailing in the Hind Hornett last Saturday, complete with two of us on parallel courses separated by two hundred yards with poles forward…on opposite boards….followed by a beat in 15+ and then a nice powered reach home.

This Saturday May 17 marks the start of the 2014 DRYA season.  The weather forecast appears to be drier than it was, with pleasant temperatures in the high 50s and a steady NW breeze.  “Forty-two” will not be out to play due to a wedding in Vegas (arrrrggghhhh….even if it is my godson) and a Laser regatta (best wishes to Grace for good sailing in Ohio;)) so that leaves it up to the rest of you to make sure we have a good fleet showing.  Target this year is to get 8+ boats for the entire DRYA season – we put in all this work so we can sail ’em so let’s get a crowd out there!  As always I am happy to match people and boats – just get hold of me for help in that regard.

Thanks,

Dave
