The bottom of Nemesis had many layers of old paint and was missing paint in a few places. Due to poor preparation at the previous yard, much of the paint was peeling off. A new start was needed, the Cabrillo Boat Shop ground off all of the old paint, A huge job!
Then they faired the bottom, grinding out blisters and filling them in. Primer was sprayed on and then several coats of paint were sprayed on to the primer. As a finishing touch the boot stripe, chipped and faded, was re-done!
This bottom will be the foundation of a fast racing bottom for years to come.
